Separate contact processing from licensing
The extension’s contact workflow and the commercial licensing workflow are different systems. Chat sync, group results, saved clients and notes are designed to remain local in the browser. Paddle checkout and license provisioning only need transaction/customer information required to deliver Pro access.
Why local storage matters
Keeping the working contact book in extension storage reduces the need to send WhatsApp-derived contact lists to an external application server. It also gives the user direct control over when data is exported to a file.
What the website can measure
The public website can use normal analytics such as pages viewed, approximate location, device/browser type, referral source and purchase-button clicks. That does not require uploading the contact list processed inside WhatsApp Web.
Protect exported files
Once you download an XLSX or CSV file, that file is under your control. Store it in an appropriate location, restrict access and avoid sharing it through insecure channels.
Use authorized data only
Local processing does not remove your responsibility to respect privacy, platform rules and applicable law. Export only contacts and groups you are authorized to access and use.
