1. Scope of this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to:
- the WhatsApp Invoice & Contact Extractor Chrome extension;
- the website at wa.chat-exporter-pro.com;
- our licensing and activation services;
- payment-related services;
- invoice template services;
- customer support communications;
- and related product services operated by BD-Software Limited.
This policy explains what information the extension may access or process, why it is processed, where it is stored, when information may be transmitted to another service, how long information may be retained, and what control users have over their data.
2. Information accessed from WhatsApp Web
The extension operates on WhatsApp Web when the user is signed in to their own WhatsApp account and uses a supported extension feature.
Depending on the feature used, the extension may access and process information displayed within WhatsApp Web, including:
- WhatsApp contact names;
- WhatsApp phone numbers;
- chat names or titles;
- chat identifiers required to locate or reopen a conversation;
- WhatsApp group names;
- group member names;
- group member phone numbers when available;
- contact information displayed by WhatsApp Web;
- and limited page information necessary to identify the currently selected WhatsApp conversation.
This information is accessed only to provide user-facing features such as contact synchronization, contact extraction, Deep Scan, group member export, saved-client management, reopening saved chats, client selection and related extension functions.
The extension does not require the WhatsApp Business API.
The extension does not obtain the user's WhatsApp password or WhatsApp authentication credentials.
3. How WhatsApp information is used
WhatsApp contact and group information may be processed for purposes such as:
- showing the user's visible WhatsApp contacts inside the extension;
- extracting available contact names and phone numbers;
- resolving contacts through Deep Scan;
- exporting contact information to user-requested files;
- saving selected contacts as clients;
- adding private notes to saved clients;
- reopening saved WhatsApp conversations;
- associating products or services with a saved client;
- creating invoices for selected or saved clients;
- and providing related client-management and billing features.
WhatsApp contact information is not used for behavioral advertising, advertising profiling, creditworthiness assessment or sale to data brokers.
4. Saved client information
Users may save client records inside the extension.
Saved client information may include:
- client name;
- phone number;
- WhatsApp identifiers required to reopen or identify the chat;
- client notes or comments;
- associated products or services;
- billing information;
- invoice history;
- subscription information;
- commission information;
- and other information entered directly by the user.
Saved client information is used only to provide the client-management, product, billing, invoice and related features of the extension.
5. Products, services and assignment information
Users may create products, services, packages, subscriptions or other billable items inside the extension.
This information may include:
- product or service names;
- descriptions;
- prices;
- quantities;
- units;
- bandwidth values;
- billing cycles;
- subscription duration;
- commission type;
- commission value;
- and client-product assignments.
This information is used only to provide product management, assignment, billing, commission and invoice functionality requested by the user.
6. Invoice and billing information
The extension allows users to create and manage invoices.
Invoice-related information may include:
- client name and phone number;
- invoice number;
- invoice date;
- due date;
- products and services;
- quantities;
- unit prices;
- discounts;
- tax amounts;
- delivery or additional charges;
- invoice subtotal and total;
- paid amounts;
- outstanding or due amounts;

- billing cycle;
- subscription renewal information;

- company details entered by the user;
- and invoice template settings.
This information is processed to generate invoices, maintain billing history, calculate totals, track payments and provide billing-related dashboard features.
Invoice records created inside the extension are not automatically sent to our servers.
7. Local browser storage
The extension stores operational information locally in the user's browser.
This may include:
- WhatsApp contact scan results;
- saved clients;
- client notes;
- products and services;
- product assignments;
- invoices;
- billing records;
- payment status;
- subscription information;
- commission information;
- invoice templates;
- company information entered by the user;
- extension settings;
- scan progress;
- temporary contact-resolution data;
- temporary caches;
- and license-status information.
Local extension data may be stored using Chrome extension storage or other browser storage mechanisms available to the extension.
Information stored locally is not uploaded to our servers merely because the extension stores or processes it.
8. Files created by the extension
When requested by the user, the extension may generate downloadable files, including:
- XLSX files;
- CSV files;
- PDF invoices;
- JSON data;
- and extension backup files.
These files are generated only when the user initiates the corresponding feature.
We do not automatically upload exported spreadsheets, contact lists, generated invoices or backup files to our servers.
After a file is downloaded, the user is responsible for how that file is stored, shared, transmitted or protected.
9. Backup and restore
The extension may provide backup and restore functionality.
A backup may contain locally stored extension information such as saved clients, products, assignments, invoices, notes, billing records, settings and supported template data.
Backup files are created only when requested by the user.
Backup files are not automatically uploaded to our server.
Users should protect downloaded backup files because they may contain business or client information.
10. Invoice templates and imported templates
The extension may include built-in invoice templates and may allow users to import supported invoice template configuration files.
Imported template information may include presentation settings such as:
- template name;
- colors;
- fonts;
- layout settings;
- table styles;
- header styles;
- and other visual configuration information.
Imported template configuration is used to customize invoice appearance.
The extension's template-import feature is designed to process supported template configuration data rather than execute arbitrary imported scripts.
11. License and activation information
Paid features require license validation.
When a user enters or activates a license, the extension may communicate with our licensing service.
Information processed for licensing may include:
- license key;
- product identifier;
- license status;
- activation status;
- installation or device identifier used for licensing;
- activation date;
- and limited technical information necessary to validate the license.
Licensing information is used to:
- verify purchased access;
- activate Pro functionality;
- enforce applicable activation or device limits;
- prevent unauthorized use;
- diagnose activation problems;
- and provide license-related customer support.
WhatsApp contact lists, saved client records, invoice contents and private client notes are not required for ordinary license validation.
12. Purchase and payment information
Purchases may be processed through Paddle or another payment provider made available to the user.
Payment providers process payment credentials according to their own privacy policies and security requirements.
We do not receive or store the user's full credit-card number or full payment card details.
After a payment or purchase event, we may receive information necessary to fulfill and manage the purchase, including:
- transaction ID;
- customer ID;
- purchaser email address;
- product purchased;
- transaction amount;
- currency;
- payment status;
- refund status;
- and related licensing information.
This information may be used for:
- license provisioning;
- license delivery;

Our public website uses Google Analytics 4.
Website analytics may process information such as:

Google Analytics on our website is not intended to receive WhatsApp contact lists, saved-client databases, invoice contents or other locally stored extension business records.

- hosting or infrastructure providers when necessary to operate our website, licensing or related product services;

17. Data retention
Data stored locally by the extension generally remains in the user's browser until:
- the user deletes the relevant record;

Licensing, transaction, purchase and support records may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to:

Users may also remove locally stored extension information by clearing extension storage or uninstalling the extension.
Uninstalling the extension may permanently remove locally stored information that has not been backed up.
Users may contact us regarding licensing, transaction or support information held by our services.
19. Data security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information handled by our services.
External communications with our website, licensing and payment-related services use secure web connections where applicable.
However, no browser extension, electronic storage system or internet transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Users are responsible for protecting their browser profile, computer, downloaded files, backups, exported contact lists and generated invoices.
20. Chrome Web Store User Data Policy and Limited Use
Our use and transfer of information received from Chrome APIs complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Information accessed through Chrome extension permissions is used only to provide or improve user-facing functionality of WhatsApp Invoice & Contact Extractor.
We do not use information obtained through Chrome extension permissions for targeted advertising.
We do not sell information obtained through Chrome extension permissions.
We do not use such information for determining creditworthiness or for purposes unrelated to the user-facing functionality of the extension.
21. Browser permissions
The extension may request Chrome permissions necessary to provide its features.
Depending on the extension version, these may include permissions used to:
- interact with the active WhatsApp Web tab when requested by the user;
- store extension settings and locally saved records;
- perform scheduled local extension tasks;
- display user-facing browser notifications;
- download files generated by the extension;
- and communicate with permitted websites or licensing services required by the product.
Permissions are used only for functionality described by the extension and this Privacy Policy.
22. Active WhatsApp Web access
The extension accesses WhatsApp Web only as necessary to provide the user-requested functionality.
This may include identifying the currently active WhatsApp chat, reading contact information displayed within WhatsApp Web, synchronizing visible contacts, extracting group members, resolving contact details and reopening saved chats.
The extension does not use this access to monitor unrelated websites.
23. Notifications and reminders
Where supported and enabled, the extension may display local browser notifications related to features such as:
- billing reminders;
- subscription due dates;
- invoice follow-ups;
- payment reminders;
- or other reminder functionality configured by the user.
Notification functionality does not require uploading WhatsApp contact lists or invoice databases to our server.
24. Third-party services
Our extension or website may interact with or link to third-party services, including:
- WhatsApp Web;
- Google Chrome and the Chrome Web Store;
- Paddle;
- Google Analytics;
- YouTube;
- and other services explicitly selected or opened by the user.
These third-party services operate under their own privacy policies and terms.
We do not control the independent privacy practices of those services.
25. User responsibility and authorized use
Users must use the extension only with WhatsApp accounts, chats, contacts, groups and business records they are authorized to access and process.
Users are responsible for complying with applicable:
- privacy laws;
- data-protection laws;

- employment or business confidentiality requirements;
- contractual obligations;
- and platform rules.
Users are also responsible for the lawful use, storage and sharing of data they export from the extension.
26. Children
WhatsApp Invoice & Contact Extractor is designed as a business and productivity utility.
It is not directed to children.
27. International users
The extension and website may be used by users in multiple countries.
Users are responsible for ensuring that their use of contact information, client records and exported data complies with applicable laws in their jurisdiction.
