Start from the correct group
Open the target WhatsApp group first. Group Export works from the visible group context because the extension needs to distinguish the group member list from ordinary chats and settings rows.
Why strict name-to-number binding matters
A group information panel can contain avatars, saved names, raw phone numbers, admin labels, action buttons and virtualized rows. A careless scraper can accidentally pair a phone number from one row with a name from another. WA Contact Exporter Pro uses a conservative rule: a verified blank phone field is safer than attaching the wrong number to a person.
How the group scan works
The scanner discovers the member section, collects visible members, expands or scrolls when necessary and resolves available phone numbers member by member. Some members show their number directly. Others may require opening a visible contact/profile area. When a verified number is found it is committed to that member before the scan continues.

The result includes the member name and phone number when available. Phone cells are exported as text-friendly values to preserve the full international number. The free version is limited to the first five available phone numbers, while Pro removes the product limit.
What if a member has a name but no number?
WhatsApp can show a saved name or profile identity without exposing a phone number in the current interface. In that case the export can keep the name and leave the phone field blank. The extension does not derive or invent a number from the name.
